The Do's & The Don'ts were inducted into the
Midwest All-Music Association (MAMA) Eastern Iowa Hall of Fame, Class of 2026, as voted by the MAMA Board of Directors. The ceremony was held at Elks Lodge #251, 801 33rd Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The Do's & The Don'ts are one of Iowa's longest-running and most celebrated live rock and roll bands, performing the greatest hits of the 1950s and 1960s for audiences across Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Marion, Coralville, Sutliff, Solon, Shueyville, Walford and communities throughout Eastern Iowa.
Originally known as the Escorts, the band was founded in 1959 by Dick Sherman in Ely, Iowa. In 1997 they were inducted into the Iowa Rock 'n' Roll Music Association Hall of Fame — one of the first bands ever honored with that distinction. Their 1966 single
"I Wonder If She Loves Me" was released on the Red Bird record label and remains a fan favorite to this day. They have also released a collection on CD
45 Years Live.
