MAMA Eastern Iowa Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony — October 11, 2026 — Elks Lodge #251, Cedar Rapids, Iowa

A milestone moment for Eastern Iowa rock and roll!

On Sunday, October 11, 2026, The Do's & The Don'ts were inducted into the Midwest All-Music Association (MAMA) Eastern Iowa Hall of Fame, Class of 2026, at Elks Lodge #251, 801 33rd Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa — a celebration of a lifetime dedicated to bringing 50's and 60's rock and roll to audiences across Iowa since 1959.

Originally known as the Escorts, the band was founded in 1959 by Dick Sherman in Ely, Iowa. In 1997 they were inducted into the Iowa Rock 'n' Roll Music Association Hall of Fame — one of the first bands ever honored with that distinction. Their 1966 single "I Wonder if She Loves Me" was released on the Red Bird record label and remains a fan favorite to this day. They have also released a collection on CD, 45 Years Live.

Also inducted in the MAMA Eastern Iowa Hall of Fame Class of 2026: Phil Thomas, Country Tradition, Eddie Piccard, Carol Montag, Neal Schwarting, Joyce Rublack and Maxine Mast.

In accepting the honor, the band thanked their fans:
"We couldn't do any of this without you folks… We really appreciate all the backing you've given us through the years."

Special thanks to Brett and Scott Wilie for providing the sound, to Scott Sanborn, emcee for the event, and to Rod Sherman for filming the ceremony.
